Birthday Haul from my Mom

My Birthday is coming up on September 9th so my Mom asked what I wanted and of course I said craft supplies! LOL  ....what else!

We went shopping on SimonSayStamp.com.  I got a Royal Sovereign laminator, lots of foil, a toner pen, Silver paintbrushes, dies and Post-It tape.  Plus she got me a new cardigan....but let's stick to the fun stuff.

Silver Black Velvet size 2 & 4 paintbrushes.  These are great
for watercoloring!

These are stitched border dies.  There is a dot, dash, cross stitch and diagonal.
The leaf dies are the stitched leaves.

Post-It tape is great for masking.

I can't wait to get back in my craft room and try these things out....ok so I have played with the laminator some on the kitchen counter! :)  The floors are in the process of getting refinished so I hope to be back in my craft room hard at work in about a week.

Craft room remodel

Due to a broken pipe flood we had recently we have been forced to refinish all the wood floors.  So that meant I had to pack up my entire craft room!  Ugh!  I won't be able to make anything for a couple of weeks but the good news is my floors will be refinished and I will be forced to reorganize my craft room!  So stayed tuned for good things to come!

Simon Says Stamp haul 8-10-16

The mail person finally delivered my held mail from vacation and I got my Simon Says Stamp order.  I have been waiting for the Ranger Enamel Accents!  I am so excited to get these and make my own accents in any size I want.  And the colors are so pretty!!

I also got the Spectrum Noir Sparkle markers in the clear overlay.  And the Memento Tuxedo Black marker.

Scuba Shaker Card

This was my very first shaker card....learned a lot!  I think the next one will go a LOT smoother! LOL

I was tasked with creating a scuba themed birthday card and that it would make a great shaker.  I searched Cricut Design Space for the elements of the card including the frame with the wave.  The print and cut feature made quick work of this part of the card.  I just added a little clear Wink of Stella and some Glossy Accents to give them some shine and dimension.

Then I used some foam tape, some clear acetate and glass beads to complete the shaker.

This is a top folding card that measures 7" x 5" when folded.
