Welcome back for the June Challenge at the Christmas Craft Creations blog!
This month is all about Christmas Trees!
I created my card with the Altenew Plentiful Pine layering stamp set. For the lights on the trees I used Ai Penguin Cheer stamp set. After I did the one with the colored lights I decided to use some different greens in the trees and Oxide ink for the sky and just go with gold and silver on the lights for a more elegant look. Which one do you like better?
This die set is sooo much fun to play with. You can totally change all the papers to make it girly, but easy to make masculine cards with.
The Honey Bee Happiness stamp set I used on the inside of this card is retiring. And it is on discount at only $8! This is such a great stamp set. So many different sentiments can be made with it.
Here are the cuts you will need to make: Large Panels Front/Back (2 sets for each side): Mat - 2 1/4" x 6 3/4"; Layer - 2" x 6 1/2" Small Inside Panels (1 set): Mat - 1 3/4" x 6 3/4"; Layer 1 1/2" x 6 1/2" Center Panels Front/Back (2 sets): Mat - 3/4" x 6 3/4"; Layer - 1/2" x 6 1/2" Remember what you put on the back becomes your front! Card Base: 7" x 5" Score at 2 1/2" & 7 1/2" then flip paper and score at 4 1/2" & 5 1/2" Belly Band: 1" x 12" Video Tutorial
For my post I did a shaker card using Sizzix domes with the coordinating circle dies. The Merry Christmas sentiment die is from Tim Holtz. The snowflakes dies are also by Tim Holtz. The stamp set is Merry and Bright by Simon Says Stamp. The metallic cartdstock is also by Tim Holtz. And the snowflake paper was from my scrap bin. The Christmas tree image is Copic colored with clear shimmer on top of the bulbs. I also stamped one of the sentiments in the set with the curved banner stamp in Delicata Gold.
